Insights: Module 2B – Analysis of the Learner and the Environment
In this module, we discussed on how students or people usually learn. As we know, students have different ways of learning so we must always take into account that they have multiple intelligences. In order for them to really learn, our lesson should also cater to their needs and to their level. We must consider that if the lesson is too difficult for their level then it would really be difficult for them to cope up. Also, we must consider the environment in which they are learning, if it is really conducive to learning or not. There are really many factors that affect on how our students learn so we must consider what needs to considered and do what really needs to be done.

Insights: Module 2A – Instructional Design Model
In this module, we learned about the different instructional models and how it could help us in making our lesson plans in order to implement our lessons. Basically, there were four models that were introduced to us which are the Dick and Carey Model, Gagne- Briggs Model, ASSURE Model and ADDIE Model. Although there were four models that were introduced, the discussion was focused on one model which is the ADDIE Model. In this model, it starts with the analysis of your pupils, their competencies and their needs. Then from there we proceed with the design which is the making of the objectives of the lesson. After that is the development of the lesson and then the implementation of the design and the last one is the evaluation of the design, if it is effective or not.
Personally, I think this instructional design is effective and feasible if we would really apply it in the way we design our lessons. But then there are also limitations or let’s say difficulties if we implement it. First is that it might take time if we really assess each of our pupils’ competencies or needs. It would prove to be difficult if a teacher has to make not only one preparation but four. Second is that if we have target lessons to finish or time table to follow, then it would delay our lesson more. I am also not yet very familiar with this model so it would to take time to really be able to implement it properly. But hopefully, I

Insights: (Module 1- Pedagogical Perspectives on the Role of Technology in the Classroom)
This morning, we learned on how technology can be infused or integrated in the classroom. Technology can be used as a subject or a tool for learning. We can integrate it in different learning areas depending on how effectively we can use it. It could b applied in English, Math, Science and other learning areas but it’s up to us on how creative can we be in using technology in the classroom. Technology can also be considered as an amplifier and transformer in learning. It can be considered as an amplifier, in a sense that technology can be a bridge to make our lessons much easier for the kids. It is also likened as a transformer because it transforms our lessons to be able to make it understandable for the learners.
In my opinion, technology would really be a big help for us teachers if we just know how to use it correctly. It is also much more interesting for the kids because it utilizes their different senses thus maximizing their learning. It could also extend their attention span because they would really be fascinated with the use of technology in the classroom. Although the results are not instant, but then it’s much more gratifying for the part of the teacher because our kids would really learn something from us at the same time they can also have fun.
